Apple Releases Quick Security Updates for iPhone/iPad

Apple has released Rapid Security Response (RSR) security updates for iOS 16.4.1 and iPadOS 16.4.1 to address common security vulnerabilities pending major updates. This is the first time Apple has released an update of this nature.

Express Security Updates (RSRs) are automatically downloaded and installed on your iPhone or iPad, and some updates may require a restart. Users can disable the automatic installation of RSR by going to Software updates > Automatic Updates > Security Responses & System Files.

However, it is not recommended to turn off automatic RSR updates for maximum security of your iPhone and iPad.
